Calvary PCA scored often and early for the 2nd straight game in an 18-7 win over NL Glenside at Mondauk #5 on Friday night. In the top of the 1st the first 6 batters for Calvary PCA would get hits including back to back to back doubles by Josh Tyson, Pete Lytle, and John Schwartz to take a 4-0 lead. NL would get a run back with a lead off double from Jimmy A. and an RBI single by Dan J. Calvary PCA tacked on 3 more runs on a bases clearing double by Lytle, his 2nd of the night in as many innings. NL once again responded with one run on just one hit and a throwing error to make the score 7-2 heading in the 3rd inning. In the top of the 3rd, Calvary PCA would score a run on a single by Ron Slagle and RBI double by pitcher Bryan Young. In the bottom half, New Life rallied to score 4 runs on 5 hits including an RBI double by Jason and a 2 run single by Pete. Calvary would escape the inning with the bases loaded getting a heads up force out from the short-fielder to 2nd base on a ball hit up the middle. At the end of 3 innings, the game was a close one with Calvary PCA holding onto an 8-6 lead.

In the 4th, the visitors piled on with a 6 run inning highlighted by a 2 RBI single by Travis Potts. Calvary PCA got a shutdown inning in the 4th to preserve a 14-6 lead and both teams went down quietly in the 5th inning. In the top of the 6th, the game was put out of reach as Calvary PCA added 4 runs highlighted by a lead off triple by Lytle, 4 straight hits, and a sacrifice fly. The bottom of the 6th and top of the 7th were quiet and New Life would score a run in the bottom of the 7th on a Josh C. single. However, the rally was thwarted by a heads up play on a single to get the runner attempting to advance to third and the game ended with a line drive snagged at first base. Stars for Calvary were Pete Lytle, Ron Slagle, and Andy Hertzog with 3 hits each. Josh Tyson scored 3 runs and 13 of Calvary PCA's 15 players in the game notched a base hit. An overall team effort. For New Life, Dan J. led the way with 3 hits and Jimmy A., Josh C., and Greg all had 2 hits apiece.
