Calvary PCA plated 12 runs in the first 2 innings and held on to win 13-5 over Chelten Baptist. Ron Slagle held the Chelten bats at bay pitching a complete game. Jeff Stainback had 3 hits ending up a home run short of the cycle and Calvary's defense was solid throughout. The Calvary PCA offense also boasted 10 of their 12 batters getting hits and 6 different players scoring 2 runs each.
For Chelten, the bats never could get going and the early deficit was too much of a hole to climb out of. Veteran Scott McMullen got the start for Chelten and after the first 2 innings settled in nicely inducing a large number of infield pop outs. Calvary PCA hits the road against New Life next week while Chelten travels to SPS to take on Calvary Church.
