The New Life Kings traveled to SPS on a beautiful Friday evening to take on host Calvary Church, each team looking to push their season record over .500.

The Kings put on their hitting caps and got to work early, scoring four in the top of the first. Calvary responded with two runs of their own in the bottom frame, but the two-run gap was the closest the game would get. The Kings responded with two runs of their own in the second, and the New Life defense was able to snuff out rallies throughout the rest of the game in an 18-2 New Life win.

New Life tallied 26 hits, and converted opportunities to generate 18 runs for the second time this year.

The Highlights:

NLG: Among the offensive leaders for the Kings were Schyler and Andy Oliver with 3 RBI apiece, while Andy Ennis and Dan each scored three runs.

CC: Travis led Calvary's offense, going 3-for-3 with two doubles, one run and an RBI.

Up Next:

New Life (5-4) will host Chelten United (6-2) at Mondauk #5 Friday for their second matchup of the season. The Kings will be looking to even the series, as they dropped the season opener to Chelten, 7-5.
