Fort Washington, Pa. - Who would have figured the most comfortable night of May would have been the last night? On a beautiful night at Mondauk Common, Andy Miller led Faith on the mound and at the plate as he threw seven shutout innings, only allowing two hits, as they defeated Chelten Baptist.

Faith scored in every inning except for the second as they squeezed out one run in the top of the first and then another on a solo homerun by Tim Brodhag in the top of the third. In the top of the fourth, Josh Rote doubled home two runs with two outs to put Faith ahead, 4-0. Faith tacked on four more runs in the fifth highlighted by a double from Miller and added one run each in the sixth and seventh. It was a cleanly played game by Faith from each facet of the game as they were effective on the bases and in the field, not committing one error and turning two inning ending double plays between Bud Brodhag and Tim Brodhag.

Mark Wasson paced Faith at the plate going 4-for-4 with 2 RBI and a run scored. Dan Bergvall and Miller were both 3-for-4 on the night. Rote and Tim Brodhag each had two hits a piece as well (Rote with two doubles and Brodhag with a homerun and a double). Ted Schnitzel also smoked an RBI triple and came around to score. Dan Ashley and Arial combined for the two singles for Chelten Baptist.

Faith squares off against Glenside Bible on Monday. Chelten Baptist's next game is next Wednesday against their close counterparts, Chelten United.
